2 Ninja Moves for Presenting Chest Pain

Want to be a ninja in presenting a patient with chest pain in the ED?

Step #1 – Calculate a PERC score.

Step #2 – Calculate a HEART Score (assume the troponin will be “< normal limit") After you say the history, say "This patient with chest pain, they are PERC (negative/positive) so I think we should do (nothing/send a ddimer/do a CT). Assuming their trop is negative, their HEART score is __ which means they could probably (stay/go with close followup)"
